Nobody mentioned anything about the Monk brothers being in this movie together? Then again, I didn't read all of the comments. - @Friday, February 2, 2018 5:29 AM

Never saw this movie. Only came here after reading an L.A. Times article about Aaron Sorkin that read: He's never had what he categorizes as "that 'Barton Fink' nightmarish writer's scenario," where a screenwriter watches in horror as the film he's lovingly penned is rendered unrecognizable. Haven't really watched many Coen movies. True Grit, No Country for Old men, Fargo, and The Big Lebowski. I think I'm going to start with Blood Simple and go down the list. - @Sunday, January 28, 2018 6:17 PM

My friend and I managed to go see this movie in the theaters when we’re 13 we didn’t care what it was about we just wanted a rated r movie. I just remember it being weird. Back than John Goodman was in everyone’s living rooms definitely a face of the 90s love him - @Friday, December 8, 2017 4:50 AM

The end of this movie is just too cryptic. I've read analysis after analysis about the meanings of the events at the end and no one seems to be able to agree on anything (other than the hell aspect.) That's not symbolism, that's incoherence. - @Sunday, November 19, 2017 5:00 PM

Good film, shame it was a commercial flop (according to Wiki cost $9 million, only made $6 million). Then again the world of screenplay writing may not seem the most exciting subject to some. - @Wednesday, January 13, 2016 4:21 PM

Seeing this trailer it's kind of ironic that one of the only other few films I've seen this guy in was The Secret Window, where he was playing a character that only existed in writer's mind. - @Sunday, August 2, 2015 12:33 PM

I watched this film first time in about 20 years . I had seen it a few times many years ago  and i loved it. Got myself a copy on DVD and watched it  to remind myself how great it is. And this time i got a completely different story than  before. Its FAUST isnt it. Barton Moves to L;A to Increase his Profile by writing a  screenplay for a  wrestling picture. He meets the Guy who runs the Film Company and in reality Barton is selling himself to the Devil , Hence  why the Hotel is so Hot, The Fire etc. Goodman Im guessing is Kharon the ferryman of Hades who carries souls of the newly deceased across the rivers Styx..The dead Bodies the heads in the Box etc.. Barton is the Final head in the Box as Barton is walking in a scene Similar to the Picture in his room.. - @Thursday, March 5, 2015 3:46 PM
