Dr. Adrian Helmsley, part of a worldwide geophysical team investigating the effect on the earth of radiation from unprecedented solar storms, learns that the earth's core is heating up. He warns U.S. President Thomas Wilson that the crust of the earth is becoming unstable and that without proper preparations for saving a fraction of the world's population, the entire race is doomed. Meanwhile, writer Jackson Curtis stumbles on the same information. While the world's leaders race to build "arks" to escape the impending cataclysm, Curtis struggles to find a way to save his family. Meanwhile, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes of unprecedented strength wreak havoc around the world.

Seriously when trailers were still ominously favourable and erie. The music, the enviroment, the subtle actions that leaves a violent setting with questions. No begining no middle no end. Its sorta symbolic how nature works chaotic by our understanding as humans but never evil. Its a force that comes naturally. An exploding star, a violent earthquake, impacts from celestial objects. Its all natural but as a species we thrive for survival and thats un-natural by the laws of the universe. As humans we perceive evil and good by subjection of right or wrong. When we see something weird its out of the norm when we cant understand it we get scared when we cant have it orderly we panic and no matter how much we find purpose in life it doesnt mean nothing in the grand scale of everything. We are nothing but a speck of dust compared to the vast universe and probably doesnt even weigh to nothing when we theorize other realities at bay. A multiple amount of universe that we will never reach. The only thing that holds truth to anything, to even fathom of meaning is knowledge. To know everything even in chaos. Man i wish to be a god.
