This is the story of an isolated Alaskan town that is plunged into darkness for a month each year when the sun sinks below the horizon. As the last rays of light fade, the town is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires bent on an uninterrupted orgy of destruction. Only the small town's husband-and-wife Sheriff team stand between the survivors and certain destruction.

Now I grew up watching The Lost Boys, Interview with a Vampire, Bram Stokers Dracula, From Dusk Till Dawn, Fright Night (1980), Near Dark, and let's not forget Rockula, and Vampires Kiss!.. stuff like that...all movies I thoroughly enjoy. Then my uncle takes me to the theater to see this not telling me what we're seeing or anything about it. Truly a fantastic concept that just fell short at being “good”. Example. 28 days later will be and will continue to be one of my all time favorite horror movies, mainly because they try so little to make it “horror” it just plays out that way with The acting and intense moments. The Truth is soon to be seen

I pray every time I watch this movie that their will be a good sequel to this movie. At the end of the first one, Stella stares into the sunset as Eban dies, with the most pissed off look. you can just see the pain and loss in her eyes, Lord where you at director of 30 days of night?! please oh please, i want to see the same Stella set out to destroy the clan of Vampires that took everything from her. out of all sequels with the same director and production, this movie would hands down be the one I want to watch.
