Alex Truelove (Daniel Doheny) is a well-rounded high school senior with a wonderful girlfriend Claire (Madeline Weinstein) and a bright future ahead of him - and with plans to achieve his last teenage milestone by losing his virginity. But things get complicated when he meets Elliot (Antonio Marziale), a handsome and charming gay kid from the other side of town, who unwittingly sends Alex on a rollercoaster journey of sexual exploration, kicking off a hilarious and moving adventure of love, sex and friendship in our liberated and confusing modern times. If this were a movie about a bisexual boy it would be awesome. Sadly, it's "just another closeted gay teen" movie. Like Love, Simon, but worse. Tbh I didn’t really enjoy this. It was kinda awkward and it didn’t make any sense. Usually people who are gay aren’t attracted to woman, but In this movie, Alex was portrayed as teenager who liked girls, but were scared of them. But on the other hand he’s always been in love with girls. I’m pretty sure he wasn’t bi (haven’t watched this in a while, but I’m sure he came out as gay) but it’s so messed up.
