Blinded since childhood when a hideous car-crash cost her her parents and her eyesight, beautiful Gina scarcely leaves their home in exotic Bangkok, depending entirely on her attentive and doting husband, James, who is her everything: her protector, her guide, and the sole intermediary with the outside world. And then, unexpectedly, a cutting-edge but highly experimental cornea transplant promises to restore Gina's vision, at least to her right eye--and all of a sudden--an entire realm of unexplored colours and senses gradually begins to unfold before her. As a result, Gina will see her husband and her unknown reflection in the mirror for the first time, as a bizarre and unprecedented feeling of empowerment slowly takes over. But, are things as James says? And what happens now that life isn't quite as Gina had imagined?

this film pissed me off! its just typical of a woman. a timid blind girl with no confidence and low self esteem who has a loyal loving husband who does everything for her and she wants for nothing, suddenly gets the chance to have miracle surgery to cure her blindness, she opens her eyes and is clearly not attracted to her husband and is totally dissatisfied with everything in her life! she sees thats shes goodlooking starts wearing make up gets her her dyed blonde and wearing sexy clothes starts taking selfies and becomes narcissistic and gets a cocky attitude then meets some attractive hunky swimmer guy and fucks him behind her husbands back and gets pregnant, and the whole film is made to make you feel sorry for her because she was blind!! woman are the most privileged creatures on the planet and your suposed to see this as the behaviour of a victim. - @Saturday, March 31, 2018 1:13 PM

I understand the point of this movie, however they are portraying Blind individuals in the wrong light. I am a woman who has been completely blind for nine years, and visually impaired since the age of three. You do not have to have eyesight to understand or attain beauty, self image, Power, sexuality, confidence, Independence, be successful, give eye contact, or even wear makeup. After losing all of my eyesight, I have found more confidence within myself, I feel more beautiful, and I have gained even more independence and freedom! My very amazing and handsome husband and I met on a blind date, no pun intended LOL, and he did not marry me because he felt sorry for me. He fell in love with Joy, he fell in love with me for who I am. We have been married now for 17 years and have two beautiful girls together, and my beautiful guide dog. I hope those who watch this movie don’t walk away with a negative misconception of blindness. I want the world to know that blindness is just as beautiful and amazing, maybe even more amazing than those with eyesight. I don’t see with my physical eyes, but I see through eyes that give me the most incredible vision beyond what ice could never see.
