This trailer is short but very sweet, the way the announcer talks about the story, "and Fievel, their son, who got lost along the way." His father calling his name, Fievel crying out "I'm coming papa!" Seeing him dragging his hat, his cute little feet running and Fievel saying "Papa!" - @Saturday, September 23, 2017 12:07 AM

At first I really liked this movie, but after watching it a few more times I found it to be really disturbing, And yes I understand what Don Bluth was trying to do but it was a bit too much for me. - @Friday, October 7, 2016 6:38 AM

I watched this movie in my 7th grade civics class earlier this week and I thought it was a great movie. Before we started watching it my civics teacher asked us if any of us had seen the sequel fivel goes west and I was the only one in the room who raised my hand apparently lol. After we finished watching it two days ago my civics teacher asked us all didn't you guys love it? and some of them said no and I was thinking as they said that wtf is wrong with you guys?! Lol! - @Sunday, June 7, 2015 1:37 AM

An American tail was one of my favorite movies by don bluth along with the land before time and many more Don bluth's movie are good some may be dark like this the land before time and the secret of NIMH But some can be sad like this and the land before time - @Saturday, December 6, 2014 6:47 PM

It was an intense film for a kid. I loved it as a kid though, and after seeing it again not too long ago, I can say it still holds up pretty good! It was darker than a lot of kid's films though, and got sad, but that just makes the ending so much sweeter when they get there! I liked watching the movie as a kid but never really got a lot of what was going on...as an adult understanding it all, I actually almost cried during the ending! It's one of the great animated films of all time! - @Wednesday, October 30, 2013 6:11 AM

I don't know why people complain that this film is sad; considering this film is about Jews immigrating to America to escape antisemitism this could of been a lot more depressing. - @Sunday, October 6, 2013 9:12 AM

Whenever I saw this trailer on VHS as a kid, the world would stand still. :D Makes me so curious as to why I never got to see "An Americsn Tail" until the day after Christmas (Boxing Day) in 2007. When I was 16. :S Still a beautiful trailer. Though I DID hate how the "Fievel Goes West" trailer would always spoil the ending to the first movie immediately at the beginning of the trailer. As they played both trailers side-by-side on a lot of tapes, I remember that all too well. XD But anyhoo~ - @Sunday, June 3, 2012 3:36 AM

..yikes, sucks to be you then. Didn't think it mattered much over which country it is who makes a series of drawn frames to sound when really, all animation is the same. Just done via different methods. If you don't like Don Bluth's style of animation, that's fine. But don't pin your dislike for it over the whole of Western animation in support of Eastern instead. That's just plain stupid. I'm very sorry, but if you're allowed to say stuff like this, I should return the favour. =P - @Sunday, June 3, 2012 3:30 AM

@laserdiscphan DBZ is the wrong kind of anime. Don't get me wrong, I loved the violence and the storyline, but I HATED the way they drew their characters: the women looked like men, and the men were overly-muscular, and all the characters had big heads xD - @Thursday, March 1, 2012 10:00 PM

@LynxFF7 "There were much better japanese animations around" Indeed, check my other videos if you want to see XD - @Friday, February 24, 2012 2:41 PM

@laserdiscphan Dragonball Z was a lesson in mediocrity. There were much better japanese animations around, and the same is true for this one. I'm not even sure if it was worth it or not; it just made me feel bad every time. - @Friday, February 24, 2012 10:22 AM
