Having left San Diego for New York City, Ron Burgundy is living the high life with his wife Veronica Corningstone and son Walter Burgundy. However, when the boss decides to promote Veronica to full time lead anchor and fire Ron, everything changes. Now heading back to San Diego, Ron is washed up and working part time at Sea World. His shot at redemption though comes in the form of a man named Freddie Schapp, who's an executive producer at the Global News Network, the world's first 24 hour round the clock news channel. He hires Ron, who proceeds to reunite the news team of Champ, Brick, and Brian, and head back to New York City. While there Ron and his news team are given the graveyard shift and a challenge. Ron comes up with a radical new idea to transform the news and that puts him at the top of the game once again. But how long will Ron's newfound fame last? And will Brick finally find true love?

Imo ((just my opinion people & my sisters & her ex bf too actually cus I remember them being immensely disappointed by this and the Zoolander and dumb and dumber sequels)) this film was a complete let down and it's proof that bigger doesn't always mean better. I've watched it 3 times now, each time thinking "maybe I'll like it this time" and I never have. There's a couple of funny lines which Will Ferrell nails, like near the beginning when him and veronica split up & it cuts to him at the dolphin show talking about how he pays hobos to hug him, and asking for the 2 trainers to kiss the way he says it, is just classic Will Ferrell and it makes you visualise what he's saying. I find that hilarious, but for the most part I just sit through the film with a straight face thinking who laughs at this shit? And it's a shame because don't get it twisted Anchorman 1 is a film I watched when it came out 1000 times, I was like 11 at the time & me and my sister fucking loved it. Anchorman, Zoolander, & Dumb & Dumber were 3 of my favourite comedy films of my childhood and today they still are which is why it's such a shame that every sequel has been complete garbage. All they do is stuff them with celebrity cameos that make you go "oh shit look it's... Blah blah" then they repeat every joke from the originals but on a higher scale but at the same time feeling more forced and unnatural, erm what else. Gross out humour, music montages, it's like when the films originally come out, they're wrote by the writers and they encapsulate what the writers and directors and actors want from the film and they really inject it with their specific imagination. But once it's on the sequel turf, it just becomes the publics baby, they just wanna make it for what ever retards 50 percent (or more) of movie goers must be. - @Tuesday, December 26, 2017 4:24 PM

so many fucking boring pathetic people with zero sense of humour in this comment section. seriously, anchorman 2 is by far one of the funniest comedy movies ever made, and it shit all over the first one. seriously, all these people bitching about how its not as good as the first one need to just shut the fuck up, this was light years better than the first one!!!! what's wrong with it? what? just because it's a sequel that's why it's so terrible? I didn't even laugh though. it was just a really average comedy movie that I just watched cause I had nothing else to do. I was going to the movies to watch anchorman 2 and I only chose it cause there was nothing else to watch and I wasn't expecting it to be that great. I watched it and it was absolutely hilarious and had me in tears laughing and I couldn't believe how much better it was than i was expecting. it absolutely blew away the first one.
