In northern Australia at the beginning of World War II, an English aristocrat inherits a cattle station the size of Maryland. When English cattle barons plot to take her land, she reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn stock-man to drive 2,000 head of cattle across hundreds of miles of the country's most unforgiving land, only to still face the bombing of Darwin, Australia, by the Japanese forces that had attacked Pearl Harbor only months earlier.

Fistly, the Japanese attacked by aircraft only. They never landed soldiers on Australian soil. So that's a huge flaw. God this movie gave me a headache. Switching perspectives every 2 seconds so we never get to know the character. The kid that we focus on throughout the movie is too busy dancing in a bombed out town to avoid being shot in the chest.It's so hard to route for any of them. It's really hard to empathise with a character who is crying over something we see for 6 seconds before switching to another perspective Characters were 2d and stereotypical, predictable. I loved this movie, probably because I learned something, the mixed children that in itself was heart braking, I really knew nothing of that nation, least of all that the Japanese bombed them, either before or after Pearle Harbor I liked it, a bit long and a bit predictable but I would recommend it easily. - @Saturday, March 21, 2015 8:08 PM
