Unbeknownst to them, Cody is terrified of falling asleep. At first, they assume his previous unstable homes caused his aversion to sleep, but soon discover why: Cody's dreams manifest in reality as he sleeps. Truck Driving FOOL

Fucked up woman, I get she's missing her dead son, but she has another precious child that she is only using for his strange talent to turn fantasy into reality, just so she can keep her unhealthy attachment to the dead. I backed out of the movie just to leave this comment, now I will return. Hopefully they grow the fuck up and appreciate the new boy for the gift that he is.
