Twins Todd and Terry seem like sweet boys that is, until one of them takes an axe to face of a fellow patron at the local drive-in. Todd is blamed for the bloody crime and institutionalized, whilst twin brother Terry goes free. Ten years later and, as the family gathers around the table for a Thanksgiving meal, the news comes in that Todd has escaped. But has the real killer in fact been in their midst all along? One thing's for sure, there will be blood and rage!

Let's get serious here Mr. Manatee, we barely touched Ed French's gore scenes, only choosing to include about 10% of the milder material, mainly because it helps propel the story as well as tease the pacing of pretty much non stop slash & bleed. That goes a long way in explaining why the film was pulled from theaters during it's original theatrical release in the early '80's. If you're begrudgingly patting yourself on the back for figuring out the killer plot twist, well we're not exactly talking about "The Crying Game" here and besides, the killer bait & switch is revealed in the 1st 5 minutes of the film, and continuously treated as an obvious and accepted fact throughout. If you're looking for a spine tingling twisted & turned horror story, you may want to set your sights a bit higher, but if you're looking for an early career introduction to one of the most talented & gifted SFX artists in the industry, this is a great campy way to get your feet wet (with buckets of blood of course). - @Saturday, January 7, 2017 6:50 AM
