Another place where the trailer differs from the final cut of the film: in the trailer, the first bridge scene is from a slightly different POV, and the scene ends after the kiss, not during. Aw, my absolute favouritest film of all time - I completely adore it and cry every time!!! This is the first time I've seen the trailer - my dvd has absolutely no extras! Oh I have a question - at about 1.27 - thats a different take on what was in the film, isn't it, because at 1.47 when he kisses her head - I'm fairly positive I don't remember that moment - because its standing out me watching this trailer after seeing the film at least 9 times. can someone confirm? - @Thursday, May 27, 2010 9:54 AM

One insomniac night I saw this movie and was blown away. I never knew the title because I caught it a bit after the initial scenes were shown. It wasn't until I watched the History Boys, where they re-enacted the ending scene that I found out it was Brief Encounters. I agree; I wish they had made a sequel so we could find out like how they coped with the situation a year later or something like that.
