Guys...Whatever your opinion on human cloning is...Just respect the fact that there most certainly ARE legitimate concerns and reason why it's ILLEGAL to clone humans: 1) A clone has 98% of SOMEONE's DNA (more or less) so that's someone else's DNA that's running around doing things 2) The human global population is already pretty high at 7 billion so if you add mass cloning along with regular reproduction we could very well have a potential world wide food and resource shortage 3) If there are good and bad clones (and if more than one of the same person), it would very difficult to tell from sight who's good and who's bad. One bad clone could become a murderer and then the police might go after the innocent original or vice versa. Depending on how similar they look. 4) The ultimate lesson of all is to NOT fully unleash something into the world that we have not prepared for and that could affect us ALL. If human cloning ever becomes legal, who's to stop someone from bumping into on the street, swiping a piece of your hair (if it has roots on it), and then creating a near exact version of YOU somewhere in the world?! And you would either never know or they could turn bad, ruin your reputation, try to hurt you or other people, etc.! So seriously...STOP acting like the rest of us are "idiots" or just "afraid of the unknown" for not wanting cloning! They're NOT toys that seem "cool"! They would involve serious ethical debate and the consequences would affect us ALL. We can have healthy respect and admiration for science, but there are some lines even science shouldn't cross and that should be respected, too. I see nothing wrong with using clones as lab rats since they aren't really human.
