Gloria (Anne Hathaway) is an out-of-work girl who, after getting kicked out of her apartment by her boyfriend, is forced to leave her life in New York and move back to her hometown. When news reports surface that a giant creature is destroying Seoul, South Korea, Gloria gradually comes to the realization that she is somehow connected to this far-off phenomenon. As events begin to spin out of control, Gloria must determine why her seemingly insignificant existence has such a colossal effect on the fate of the world.

The trailers for this movie were completely misleading, and all of the ideas brought on screen were poorly executed. This movie has the potential if we're to specifically focused on 'The monster inside all of us', or just the monsters fighting. It ends up to be a story about Anne Hathaways character being portrayed as a human monster, always drunk and doing dumb things. Eventually Jason Sudekis' Character turns out to be an abusive drinker and assaulter while Anne Hathaways character becomes self controlled and not a monster. The only good aspects of the film were it's concept, the actual monsters and Sudekis' performance. I rate it 3.5/10 - @Thursday, April 27, 2017 7:57 AM
