Had to rewatch this film after what is happening with the BK confirmation. Clips of the Anita Hill testimony have been playing over and over in my head. And I keep remembering the 'unanswerable question' scene-- Washington is a phenomenal actress. But my heart goes out to Hill. I can't believe everything they put her through. What was the consensus? there are many women that are being sexually abused and they are afraid to come forward because they know their voice may not be heard. Bad casting for Clarence Thomas. The actor does not have the same tenure and class or conviction as Judge Thomas. Done on purpose I am sure. And for Anita, they went overboard with showing emotion, which was not the reality with the real Anita. In real life, she was stoic, like nothing that was being discussed affected her. Regardless of what was true, it seems he always helped her through the years, never thinking she had an issue, and her coming out this way, after all those years, shows an hypocritical attitude and being quite unappreciative for the good that he did for her.
