i thought this was not a bad seaquel, it explans a lot after the 3 rd movie, caesar is the son of cornulies and zira, he becomes a slave and leads a revolt, which you can't blame him, i would of done the same thing, caesar was right to fight back, say in the future us humans are excent who takes over the world, maybe the animals. still good plot and moves at a good pace. roddy mcdowell is the star and the best of the planet of the apes movies, and kim hunter as zira is another huge favourite of mine. i just like the fact roddy mcdowell comes back to play another ape. he is magic as caesar. overall 7 out of 10. - @Wednesday, December 25, 2013 7:56 PM

But, in a way the stories dont really add up. I mean in this one the apes rises against the humans and take over. BUT in the original a huge nuclear war occurs and destroys and mutating most of the humans, thus allowing the apes to evolve and take control. In the 2011 version Humans die throw a virus allowing the mutated apes to take over. Why is everyone version different than the other?? I am only a few years older than the original movie so, I never got to go to a theatre to watch them but, I watched them all on late night tv and fell in love with them all, the whole concept excited me but, pretty much most SyFy stories do. Escape, Conguest and Battle are my fave of the 5, Aside from the great actors involved, the acting itself and the story lines, the makeup was way ahead of its time, the series was simply beautiful, the originals were simply better and innovative, love them! - @Tuesday, May 1, 2012 11:40 AM
