Libby Day is a lifeless woman who survived the massacre of her family in their farmhouse in the countryside of Kansas when she was eight. She's been living on donations and lectures ever since. Thirty years ago, the police believed that a satanic cult was responsible for the murder of her mother and two sisters, and her brother Ben was convicted with her testimony in court. Today, however, an acquaintance, Lyle Wirth, invites Libby to visit "The Kill Club", where amateurs investigate famous crimes, and she finds that they believe Ben is innocent. Libby needs money and, in return, accepts to revisit the slaughter of her family and comes up to the painful revelations and the ultimate truth.

The actress is not the Libby i envisioned AT ALL, not the Lyle i imagined and the casting of Ben both the young and adult is absolutely ludicrous, do they read the book or just go with what they deem fit for the role.....-__- Patty is again so different to how the book describes her. It all looks a little too glamorous a setting. Who in the world is Diondra, that is one hell of an ostentatious character to pull off well, hopefully the actress knows what she is meant to play judging from her oh so perfectly styled hair and clothes i'm thinking no she hasn't an inkling, god please all my fellow book readers agree on this. I like Charlize but Libby day was red head barely 5 feet with huge boobs and lyle is okay he is perfect for his role. when I imagined Libby she should be played by Chloe mortez and diondra should be some one like Emma Roberts or alice from pll. I am shocked I didn't know about this movie before today. I started listening to the audiobook of the novel yesterday (I drive a lot and listening to them is more convenient for me then carving time out of my schedule to sit and read, don't judge) and the whole time I was thinking, "This would make an awesome movie! I wonder if anyone's planning on doing that." Imagine my surprise that a movie has already existed for around two years and is filled with a whole bunch of big names.
