Lol when he says " what's the world coming to" at the beginning referring to Marylin Manson as a guy, 13 years later and it gets a whole lot worse, people like that are actually accepted now a days, disgraceful what the world has come to indeed, back in 2003 it was a whole lot better. its not about passing death test , in an accident people die not really all in the same moment. brad must have been the first to die , then the rest , one by one , the fractions of a second spread in a whole movie. and how they die is how they hit themselves in the crash , for example the kid mustve got his lip ripped first of all , then get mauled in the wreckage , the father get stabbed in his leg (shotgun fire depiction) , then get his neck sliced by some sharp edge ETC,ETC - @Saturday, October 19, 2013 4:21 PM

I love this film it have a very deep psychological meaning. The way i understant was that in the end of the film we see that the car crashes. So the car crashes and they have to pass this ''death test''. No, the only real parts of the movie were in the beginning up to the point where the dad (driver) was feeling sleepy when the car got out of control then crashed and at the near end when the daughter woke up out of the coma in the hospital. The rest of the movie was all in the girls mind (dream) when she passed out at the crash. She was the only survivor. Remember the guy with that big black car at the end? The note was written before the crash. The cleanup guy found it when they were cleaning up after the crash. The only survivor was the daughter. She was the one in the coma having dreams depicting scenes from the crash. Everyone else died. Apparently she passed out at the time of the crash. - @Monday, August 6, 2012 11:13 PM

One of the best horror movies of all times. You may understand it at the beginning when the car crashes, otherwise you will at the end. They were all dead except the girl who woke up in the hospital. She was in a coma dreaming about her dead family as ghosts including the lady in white who was the driver of the other vehicle. Good movie. It's not really about fun.
