When I looked into Ross Ulrich case, what really struck me was the disproportionately and extremely sentence we receive for running basically a platform where people could buy an sell drugs. it raises a red flag and makes me think that some how our political, legal and judicial system is compromise. A life prison sentence is basically a death sentence: both condemn you to die in prison, although the latter just a little bit longer that the former. Some people may say that Ross tried to hired a hit man to murder several people and that because of that he deserved a life sentence. I personally do not buy the argument for a couple of reasons: 1) If he tried to hired a hit man to murder some one, why was not he charged with intent to commit murder? Simply, because the prosecutor did not have the evidence to charge him with this crime. I guarantee you that if they had the evidence they would had charged him with this crime to help justify his severe sentence. All they had was a conversation with suppose Dread Pirate Roberts and Redandwhite and a sentence on his computer, which is stated that he he ordered a hit. There is not audio, video, evidence that such crime was ever committed. As Ulrich said, a few years earlier on an online interview, there were several Dread Pirate Roberts operating the site. 2) His computer was confiscated during his arrest and anyone government agent could had put this logs to sway public opinion and justify his harsh sentence, as we can see, this has worked effectively, as some people here and on other forums argue that his life in prison sentence was justify. where is the crime committed? Where is the audio or tape? The FBI is famous for getting audios or tapes to use as evidence. 3) I think this was done to make the jury and public opinion believe, as the prosecutor said, that he was a dangerous to the public and to denied him of bail. The FBI had some administrator running the site, as well as a least two corrupt FBI agents when these dialogues occurred. They could had done this to incriminate Ulirch as well as I said planting logs into Ulrich computer 4) any 14 year old child would had erased this king of information form his/her email. I wold if I had such information. Where did the log of a hit man executing the crime came from? I seemed that it appeared from nowhere. I was probably planted. You do not to be a genius that such information cannot be on your computer/ email/, text, telephone etc. Something is just not right here. 4) It is well documented that the Silk Road explicitly prohibited the sales of credit card fraud, child pornography, and the services of hit men or sicarios. 70 percent of the transactions in the Silk Road were drug related transitions. 5) In an unprecedented move, Ulrich was charge with being responsible for the death of at least 6 people who died of drug overdose of drugs allegedly these people bought at the Silk Road. I remember that during my college years, a young student died for consuming 20+ beers during a fraternity party. He went to sleep drunk and never woke up. Do we charged the CEO of the bear company with murder too? And do we charged the CEO 's of the alcoholic beverages withe manslaughter because someone who was drunk accidentally during a traffic accident killed some other innocence people? And how about the person who had committed suicide by overdose with legal pharmaceutical drugs? Do we charged the CEO of the company withe murder as Ulrich was charged? After all, both are drugs, one is obtained by legal means and the other by illegal means both for are drugs and under the same logic, the CEO 's alcoholic beverages and pharmaceutical companies should be charged with life in prison. I do not understand the logic of the judge. The reason why Ulrich was charged with such a harsh sentence was not because of the people who died from drugs purchased at the Silk Road (they could care less about them) neither because of the intent to commit murder (he was never charge because they did not have evidence to charged him with this charged. The reason why Ulrich was charged with practically a death sentence was because the banks and and corporations are afraid of the possibility of people organizing and creating free markets and using an alternative currency: the bitcoin, which the bank has not power over and would lose their control and power once people had the possibility of using an alternative currency. In other words is the end of the bank as we know it if people decided not to use their currency. Corporations and banks are afraid of this social experiment: a truly free market and and an alternative currency, which they had not control over. His extreme sentence, which is basically a death sentence was practically a deterrence to other people who could be a threat to the status quo. They saw this coming and they tried to make and example of him. In my opinion they saw him a threat, as judge katherine forrest told him when she gave her the sentence and she was absolutely right: :unfortunately i have to made an example of you so other people will not try this... what you do is dangerous." That is why his extreme sentence does not corresponds to the charges. It's unfortunate that Ulrich has to die in prison for his ideals. - @Sunday, January 22, 2017 1:41 AM

I saw the movie, a couple of times in fact. My personal opinion is that Ross Ulbricht (sp?) is not the DPR. DPR is too smart to get caught.
