James Bond's mission is to find out who has been smuggling diamonds, which are not re-appearing. He adopts another identity in the form of Peter Franks. He joins up with Tiffany Case, and acts as if he is smuggling the diamonds, but everyone is hungry for these diamonds. He also has to avoid Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd, the dangerous couple who do not leave anyone in their way. Ernst Stavro Blofeld isn't out of the question. He may have changed his looks, but is he linked with the heist? And if he is, can Bond finally defeat his ultimate enemy.

Those who say DAF looks a parody of the Bond films might be right. The physical appearance of Connery makes a silly and goofy Bond more suitable. I cant picture 1971 Connery in a serious Bond movie such as From Russia With Love. Nor can I picture 1963 Connery in DAF. DAF is really a campy, trashy Bondfilm! Still more enjoyable than all Craig Bonds put together! I liked the comic strip-approach of the Moore era, which was set in with this one, Connerys last official one. I like this one better than Dr No, From Russia with Love and Thunderball, which i find actually rather boring movies! You only live twice is my favourite Connery Bond along with Goldfinger!, in fact, the only 2 real good ones with Connery! NSNA did not much for me, either. My favourite Bonds are Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton, Connery is good but most of his films are not! At one point, Bond movies were trendsetters that other movies emulated. By this point in time, the Bond movies seemed to be copying then-popular genres and other films. Those car scenes look right out of Vanishing Point. Live & Let Die looked like an early 70s Blaxploitation film. Man with the Golden Gun had a bunch of Kung Fu stuff in it. MoonRaker looked like Star Wars meets James Bond. The Spy Who Loved Me is maybe the one standout in all of these post Lazenby movies. - @Saturday, August 12, 2017 7:18 PM
