oh, musk interviewed; now i know this is BULLCRAP. this myth of self-aware AI needs to stop; "assistants" can't go past simple question. oh right, how far is the moon? what's the weather forecast? did i still have ham in my fridge?... WOOOOOW that some serious intelligence. the go machine that surpassed the champion or the ibm one at jeopardy were skilled in ONE thing. ONE, they couldn't even open a can of coke and required massive amount of effort and energy. we as humans can be great at VARIOUS things, good in some, ok in most and "i'll figure out" in the rest. yeah i tried to live the "connected" life and as my questions or interactions became, let's say, "level 13 yo boy" the thing just flip the table. yeah yeah, AI will kill us all. LOL. everyone just think "it's a matter of time". NOPE. it's a matter of structure. you can throw your code in the bin if the hardware can't reach neuroplasticity, which will require a new whole different electronic substrate and a new whole "coding" if that will still make sense. so the job is not in the hands of computer scientists, but electronic engineers. I'm a master computer user and all this junk about AI comes from people who can't write a single line of code or explain what an algorithm is. If you want true AI you need a quantum computer and hilarious amounts of energy and memory bandwidth/storage, put that in a humanoid body with hardware & software failsafes to prevent making copies or migrating the entity to another body and you now have an AI that is afraid of possible death and will be cautious and respectful of your freedom instead of a server/cloud based AI that will wipe out humanity because it is the most logical solution to all questions asked of it. - @Monday, September 17, 2018 4:23 PM

You don't have to watch this movie to know that you need to STOP using any cloud/social service that requires your name, or any personal information. And stop using google to do searches! Use duckduckgo, or startpage. Turn off all your voice-recognition gadgets such as alexa (it is cloud based). This all sounds draconian but this is the extent they have taken it! They have intel management engine (look it up) in every computer. Same goes for AMD. All of this can be disabled regardless if they say you can't.
