It has been several years since young Sawyer Nelson and the dedicated team at the Clearwater Marine Hospital, headed by Dr. Clay Haskett, rescued Winter. With the help of Dr. Cameron McCarthy, who developed a unique prosthetic tail for the injured dolphin, they were able to save her life. Yet their fight is not over. Winter's surrogate mother, the very elderly dolphin Panama, has passed away, leaving Winter without the only poolmate she has ever known. However, the loss of Panama may have even greater repercussions for Winter, who, according to USDA regulations, cannot be housed alone, as dolphins' social behavior requires them to be paired with other dolphins. Time is running out to find a companion for her before the team at Clearwater loses their beloved Winter to another aquarium.

I LOVE this MOVIE!! I Love Dolphins!! They are smarter than a lot of Humans!! Mainly because they have a heart and they really are amazing! This is great way to learn about marine animals too. I like the ethical decision the manager made and how important it is to know when it's best to let them back into the wild and how we can have faith in hard decisions. So Much good in this movie. For those have values that is. So thankful for those who care enough to look out for our Marine animals too. Those who are criticizing it, well not sure why your even watching it because, you have to love animals to appreciate it. They have a place here on this earth too, they entertain us too with their own personalities and how they deal with humans and other animals. They can not release Winter due to her prosthetic. Over time the stump or "residual limb" changes in size, shape, and has swelling and so on. They need to be able to keep a close eye for skin breakdown/infections and probably re fit her every so often. I lost my leg recently after fighting to keep it for 20 years, I've worked with Hanger the prosthetic ppl who made her tail my entire life they are wonderful guys who are compassionate and caring. I actually get fit for my first socket tomorrow. These movies helped me see light and hope in a very dark time. Also this place is not affiliated with SeaWorld it is a place for Marine life that have no other options but to live in a regulated, safe, secure, environment otherwise they'd be put down, does a human deserve to be given up on if they are not whole? No neither does an intelligent animal that still has south to live for. Also any rescue that can be released they do release. - @Monday, May 18, 2015 12:18 AM

Just got done watching this movie, it was corny from time to time, I think it appeals to the 8-15 year olds mostly. It is quite astonishing the shots they get and how the dolphins are ok with being shot like that(I wonder if it's CGI, all my instincts tells me it's real).
