** This movie only deserves 2 stars, this movie embodies everything wrong with Netflix movies. It always seems like in these Netflix writing rooms someone comes up with a mediocre story line or (like in this case) decide to derive from a book and then do the best to shove in as many old cliches and tropes (which are rarely executed correctly), "funny" scenes (that often side track from the story line or just straight up add nothing to the film), and pandering moments as they can try to work around the script. In short these movies seem like a bunch of "good ideas" poorly stringed together with bad acting, lines, and weak story telling. This movie (sadly like many of Netflix's movies) has as much good transitioning and good story telling as the Grandma got ran over by a reindeer Christmas special. The plot was often muddied and even the plan to somehow "destroy the pageant" wasn't even half baked. I often found the main character lacking in depth (although this was an issue all around) and honestly I didn't find her very likeable or even to be a sympathetic character. And this isn't for a lack of trying I spent the whole time waiting and wanting to, but never quite made it there. Frankly the most likeable character was Aunt Lucy who we mostly only saw in flash backs, many of which she didn't even have lines. Please feel free to watch and make your own decision on this but honestly the best thing about this movie was Jennifer Aniston. I realize many don't give a shit about reviews on YouTube but since Netflix decided to do away with there comments section (suspiciously when they started producing more original content) due to "low user use"(which I'm sorry but I just don't believe, as many people (self included ) think there opinion matters and must be heard). Anyways if you want to kill an afternoon with what had the making to be good movie but you like Jennifer Aniston so you'll watch anyways then go ahead this is the movie for you. However if you have the same issues I have with the Netflix Original movies then don't waste your time. - @Sunday, December 9, 2018 11:07 AM

Just watched it, and I was pleasantly surprised! The trailer only gives the premise of the movie (like it should), but it does not give the whole movie away!
