That premise it's the way it should be for everything in modern world, boys and girls-girls and boys competing each other not looking for the other one sex, but for the other one skills and abilities. Men and Women have their diffrences, but not disadvantages against the other, some are stronger but others are quikcers and so on..., and in an equal field, it's the personal ability the key and not what you have between your legs or the lenght of your hair... Unfortunatelly, I don't think this movie promotes that sex equallity, but only shows the different case, the exception to the rule, one case in a life... Perhaps, due to stupidity of sex roles, puritanism, religion, feminity and masculinity concepts, this human civilization would never reach a society where people are equal, not man or woman, but civilians... This movie is good viewing. Leads are developed to the point where you like and dislike aspects of the characters. Good performances. Not sure about physical aspect and reality of this very slight female against young testosterone fuelled males. BUT it was visually authentic as the female character puts every effort into the wrestling. This daughter father relationship is an interesting twist combined with the reality of lives in the welfare system. I would recommend you watch this movie. They kept it real but not too extreme.
