It's a very well made movie on a technical level, feels very old Hollywood which is what they're paying homage to. But, the story just falls flat for me. The film wasn't actually centred on trying to find George Clooney's character. In the end they just stumble upon him by accident. It doesn't have a very satisfying story or conclusion but it's great as a period piece. You do actually immersed in the golden era of filmmaking. It reminds me of the film Inherent Vice, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.
