In October 2018, forty years after the massacre in Haddonfield, true-crime pod-casters Aaron Korey and Dana Haines travel to Warren County Smith's Grove Sanitarium to visit Michael Myers. They briefly interview Michael's psychiatrist Dr. Ranbir Sartain, a former student of Dr. Samuel Loomis, before meeting with Michael in hopes of gaining some insight into his past actions before his transfer to a new facility. Aaron brandishes Michael's mask at him, to no effect. In Haddonfield, Illinois, Laurie Strode is living an isolated life, having been divorced twice, developed a strained relationship with her family and turned to alcohol. Laurie has prepared for Michael's potential return through combat training. The following night, Michael's transport crashes. Michael kills a father and his son who stumble upon the crashed bus on the road, and steals their car. As one of the biggest Michel Myers fans I have to say this movie was a disappointment. Especially with the fact this movie was to take place 40 Year’s after the first murders in 1978. FLAWS iN THIS MOVIE: Michael Myers face was shown to soon and to clearly. His mask hiding his pure evil is what made the 1978 movie so bone chilling. FLAW #2 the killings in this movie seemed so cheesy and obviously fake. FLAW #3 Michael moved to fast in this movie his slow bone chilling walk is also what made the 1978 film creepy. SPOILER ALERT. The script sucked. Most of the kill scenes were not good. The scenes at the mental hospital, bus crash scenes, doctor trying to be the killer, and the way he killed the 2 reporters in the bathroom and put on the mask were probably the worst of the movie. Not a good movie. A lot of unlikable scenes. Didn't feel like true Michael Myers from first 2. The first two Halloween movies are the only ones that are good. Especially the 1st one. This new 2018 one sucked. Halloween H20 is a good watch. Part 6 is a fun watch. The rest of them are garbage. Most after the first 2 try to copy other movies. H20 copied the vibe from Scream. 4 and 5 copied friday the 13th films. Resurrection copied the reality tv camera style like blair witch project. And this 2018 director/writer tried to copy Goodfellas (tracking shot) and texas chainsaw massacre (out of sync kill, shutting the door hard etc.) as well as paying tribute to first halloween but it sucked and didn't do the first 1 and better sequel justice. - @Monday, December 17, 2018 11:06 PM
