So this scene was only about her being turned away because she was late? If she was in America, and showed up on time, they would still turn her down because the USA government cut most food stamps, welfare, and housing programs. America is all about spending money on forcing other countries to be like America, but when it comes to the citizens of America, the American government would rather see all American citizens homeless and starving to death. If the movie took place in America, the story would be much worse. - @Sunday, March 18, 2018 9:57 PM

Any young man or woman thinking of joining the military to; " fight for your country" you had better watch this Ken Loach movie. This is how your "country" will treat you when you're no good to anybody. Take a good look. - @Monday, November 13, 2017 9:17 PM

I would agree with the comments of Vitaly and Charlie Watts. The dynamics between the claimant and the office manager, and the delivery of their words are so accurate. If only more could, as Hamlet demands, " Hold the mirror up to nature." - @Saturday, November 12, 2016 7:07 PM

From experience, these JOBSWORTHS really know how to deliberately wind someone up-as if he/she is not stressed out already!think about it...the more pissed off you are,the less likely they'll want to deal with you and squeal "security!"at the soonest opportunity. - @Sunday, June 19, 2016 4:19 PM

Looks very interesting. Like he said, I'm sure people sitting there wouldn't mind helping out a lady and her 2 children but the company doesn't want to break "rules" and prioritise. Seen it happen a lot and many people (shamefully myself on occasion) feel embarrassed to step up and help others out if a scene if being made. - @Tuesday, May 24, 2016 1:05 AM
