When I read this book it saddened me very much. Although the encounter between Rachel and the two shooters did not really happen, I’m happy that they made a movie in remembrance of her. Scary to see how movie writers and directors are trying to make atheism look bad with movies like this (The movie could be great, but i am talking about the message that they wanna tell you). Every religion and faith has good and bad followers, and that also counts for atheism. It's not that people who don't believe in God, the Devil, hell and heaven think that they can do bad things because they ain't afraid to go to Hell or anything. There is still something like law and order, and more important ''common sense'' to know what's good and bad. I saw this movie last night and cried my eyes out. Rachel was a champion for Christ, and despite everything she had the faith in Christ to do just that. She touched even some of the big bad asses in the school. God is powerful, all knowing, loving, and merciful. God bless her and the rest of the students. I recommend seeing it. You also have to understand that there are really people like that. I've actually met people both online and in person who justified their hatred and desire for genocide of certain groups of people directly inspired by a naturalist ideology. I don't even talk to people much and yet I still managed to encounter people like that. So it's not as uncommon as you would have hoped it to be. You also cannot deny that the idea of "natural selection" has greatly inspired genocides, murders, extremist groups and overall an excellent justification for racism. It's just an unavoidable fact. Some people have to realize that atheism and/or naturalism is not exempt to inspiring murder and hatred. It's time people acknowledge this fact and no longer ignore it or downplay it. Seriously. And sadly, there is a lot of hatred and false accusations towards Christianity as a whole because of what others who claim to be Christian and yet do not practice what they preach have done (which is actually prophesied in scripture). This isn't "victim complex" or exaggeration. Christians in America at least, have it unbelievably (physically) easy. The middle east.. not so much. Just, please stop using people who do horrible things in the name of Christ as if they are somehow an official representative or an embodiment of Christianity because you know very well that such actions are in direct contradiction to the very basic tenets of Christianity. This was an objectively very well made and amazing movie. Really, it was. Don't pay attention to the haters. They're mainly mad at the fact that it's Christian (like always). You don't see many Christians complaining when they're (constantly) being painted in an unrealisticly bad light like they are in Hollywood.
