I wanted to like this, the cinematography is it's only saving grace though. The writing, acting and especially it's soundtrack absolutely scream entitlement and hour and twenty runtime drag itself through a story that doesn't make any sense. You end up disliking the main character played by Davis so much for her overplayed ''edgy, don't give a fuck attitude'' you want to turn off but you carry on. You sit through a scene with Joel ''I see dead people'' Osment that could have been key to the plot but sadly misses the mark. You watch all the way to the end to see what should be Davis bringing everything together, but instead pulls a movie cliche. The movie is meant to be Papierniak’s love letter to weird LA, but all the scenes involving LA as a backdrop are rushed and don't quite do anything. It's soundtrack is meant to be ''blazing'' but is just awful. Most of the tracks appear to have been recorded in a bathroom and slam on through two chords as if to try and appear more punk.
