Corporal Evan Albright (Charlie Weber) joined the elite Marine Corps Security Guards to save the world and see some action-not necessarily in that order. But his first assignment, protecting a U. S. Embassy in a seemingly safe Middle Eastern capitol, relegates his unit to wrangling "gate groupies" protesting outside the compound and honing their marksmanship by playing video games. So Albright and his team are caught off guard when well-armed and well-trained militants launch a surprise attack aimed at killing an informant in the embassy. Heavily out-gunned, they will have to muster all the courage and firepower they can as their once routine assignment spirals into all-out war.

The first Jarhead movie is based on the real Anthony Swofford and his life of being a marine in the gulfwar... I didn't know that B-rated movie directors could make sequels to these type of movies by changing the real story entirely to that it's fictional and no way related to actual stories like Jarhead. If these type of directors can do that imagine movies like the sci-fi thriller called, "Straight outta Compton and straight in2 outta space" and the horror movie, "Amistad 2: Opposite day." The problem I have w/ this movie is its riding on the curtails of Jarhead. Jarhead was great, and focused into how boring it is, all the work and preparation to never fire a round. It had a couple action scenes but it didn't try to sell you on it, and it had a solid story to back it up. Jarhead 2 was disappointing, mainly because I was expecting something akin to the first. The sequel and now this one just have it part of the series to ride on the appeal for the first, and to be honest thats why it gets a lot of hate. I watched this a bit ago w/ some friends. I don't know about this movie but if you search imdb for the director William kaughman i think, he has some gems. If anyone likes the walking dead then you should love the new movie daylights end, a 2million budget but my gosh, how it only has a 5.2 score is beyond me, but we have to consider the fact that many amateur critics today are obsessed with marvel and dc.
