Jason Bourne is again being hunted by the CIA. It begins when Nicky Parsons a former CIA operative who helped Bourne, who went under and now works with a man who's a whistle blower and is out to expose the CIA's black ops. Nicky hacks into the CIA and downloads everything on all their Black Ops, including Treadstone which Bourne was a part of. And Heather Lee, a CIA agent, discovers the hack and brings it to the attention of CIA Director Dewey, the man behind the Black Ops. He orders Parsons be found and, hopefully, Bourne, too.

This may not be the nail-biting conspiracy (almost political) thriller that the previous films in the franchise have been, but it is a damn fine action flick with amazing practical effects and breathtaking, easy to see/understand action scenes that once again leaves the franchise open for continuation, or alternatively, a film that finishes up the character's story. - @Saturday, November 10, 2018 7:16 PM

Ultimately the most underrated movie of 2016 and one of the most underrated action movies out there, I had only 1 problem with it - the second storyline about that hacker guy was unnecessary. This is the darkest of the Bourne films, and definitely the most morally ambiguous one yet. Bourne here is no more trying to expose government or find the truth, he's here to kill, to get his revenge for Nicky and his father. And in the end he actually does something he constantly tries to avoid - murders the Asset by hunting him down. There's also an ambiguity in his motives - does he want to go back to work for government, is peace no more a solution for him, is he mentally unable to live normal life? And I love that they don't answer these questions, they leave it ambiguous and let viewer think. Amazing film. - @Wednesday, August 1, 2018 3:04 AM

So at the end there’s a car chase that lasts at least like fifteen minutes, the build to Bourne going up against tommy lee jones going for twenty minutes, the tailing and chasing in the beginning of the movie going for twenty minutes, BUT THE FINAL FIGHT SCENE LASTING FOR TWO MINUTES? How anticlimactic and disappointing. What? Is greengrass more comfortable filming extended chases and suspense elements - tailing and chasing and driving - but fight scenes he can’t bear it for longer than a few minutes? Honestly, so disappointing. Ugh.
