Huge advancements in scientific technology have enabled a mogul to create an island full of living dinosaurs. John Hammond has invited four individuals, along with his two grandchildren, to join him at Jurassic Park. But will everything go according to plan? A park employee attempts to steal dinosaur embryos, critical security systems are shut down and it now becomes a race for survival with dinosaurs roaming freely over the island.

I remember just how HUGE a deal this movie was, because it was going to be the most scientifically accurate dinosaurs (at least as was known at the time) ever committed to film. They were even using research that hadn't been released to the public yet. I remember every time I saw this trailer on TV back in '93 (I was 6 years old at the time), and how much I begged my parents to let me see it. My dad and I saw the film on opening day. The theater was packed, but we got great seats. This is the only film that I remember watching while in the theater, and quite vividly. Never scared me. What a thrill it was to see it again in 3D, and that was the first time the film actually scared the pants off me. I've watched this movie at home so many times I have most of the dialogue memorized, but seeing it in 3D was like watching it for the first time. - @Saturday, December 23, 2017 3:13 AM

I watched this film from the VHS for the first time when I was about 2 - 3 years old. That time, this film made me love Dinosaurs and inspired me to be a Paleontologist like Dr. Grant. Even now I don't study Paleontology, I study Social Sciences instead, I'm still interested in Dinosaurs and I read more information, watch documentary about them in my free time. From my point of view, there is very little chance for any other Dinosaurs films to be as great as this franchise. You got a winning combination of Steven Spielberg and John Williams then you add the new feature of Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
