Initially, I liked this movie. I thought Halle Berry played a believable and strong female character who hadn’t just been endowed with magical abilities, like so many SJW/feminist run movies these days; she was afraid but courageous. However, then I realised that it was just another left-wing racist attack on white Southerners; they’re all racist fat slobs and hillbilly bigots, of course. One has to remember that slavery and racism in America and opposition to racial equality were almost entirely perpetrated by the pro-slavery Democrats in the North and South, not the anti-slavery Republicans, and the Confederates just wanted the Yankies off their land. So, enough with these anti-white stereotypes from racist black celebrities. If blacks want someone to blame for black child abuse and deaths then they need look no further than their own neighbourhoods, since far more blacks abuse and kill black children and adults than whites. - @Friday, November 23, 2018 2:14 PM

This was by far one of the best movies I've seen in a while. The love that mom has for her son, it goes beyond leaps and bounds. Halle really brings this character to life and it really hits home. The ending comes with satisfaction that justice is served. By far one of the best movies. It almost reminds me of the parable of the lost sheep.
