I can still recall my mother taking me to see this in a theatre back in 1976 and being really excited... but my mother hated it! LOL I also remember watching some of it on the tv broadcast and was surprised that it was in two parts... (and all the endless commercial breaks!) I did notice all the differences, even though I was 9 years old I picked up on everything that was different.
