Very sweet film, but Jon Hamm was a total asshole to her, embarrassing her in front of everyone. Irl, yeah, abusers like to.win. That's all they care about and they'll kill someone to get it, too. They have zero capacity to love anyone. As for the idiots and dorks she blind dated, um, yeah. She was right. The salad geek, well, she could have kicked his ass, easy. Then you have dumbass and perv guy...these are the males you'd want to have children with? No. Just ick. Meanwhile, men pretty much only care what you look like and if you'll just have sex with them. If every romantic comedy were written more like this - there would be a run on romantic comedies again! I miss the "When Harry Met Sally" days of romantic comedies. This is an adorable movie - written very well, acted very well, it is outstanding! Great show! Love the movie! I'd like to see this movie re-done as a straight movie, but I think they already tried it - in the movie "The Break-up" with Jennifer Anniston. Believe it or not a lot of people (male or female) "dabble" with the opposite sex. In the film even though she loved that women dearly. she wasn't interested in her sexually but they remained very close friends. I understand people's anger but this film is a way of showing sexual orientation isn't ack or white, it's very blurry and sometimes you need to try both to find out what you like. I had an encounter like this when I was 15, and now I'm 19 and were in a happy relationship and I am now sure I'm a lesbian. I find it pretty offensive the way some women 'dabble' in romantic same-sex laisons, treating them as some kind of bucket-list fulfilment when they've absolutely no intention of having a serious commitment with another woman, but think they're so cool and trendy being able to say that they've done it.
