I watched this on DVD last night. I wasn't really expecting much but, I have to say, it is brilliant. Mr. Whedon and company ought to do more of these. - @Sunday, May 8, 2016 2:56 PM

I just watched this movie. I loved it. Of course Much Ado About Nothing is my Favorite Shakespeare Play...so i'm already a little biased. and Nathan Fillion as Dogberry was perfect. A+ casting on that. - @Saturday, October 3, 2015 12:22 AM

The only problem with using Black and White film is that I honestly think I will have trouble telling characters apart (with such a large cast), but otherwise I like the choice. Excited to see this interpretation! - @Wednesday, July 23, 2014 8:57 PM

Must be nice... Phone all your old buds. Slap a movie together over a weekend. And still have it be better than previous versions of the same story that have been shot in the past. - @Friday, April 11, 2014 4:44 PM

You probably wouldn't have given Shakespeare a chance if you were alive during his time with a pretentious attitude like that. At the time he was considered "lowbrow", performing his works for a common audience and featuring a lot of bawdy humor. It was only later that Shakespeare became associated with "high culture". - @Thursday, November 21, 2013 11:44 PM

why are you basing the enjoyment/greatness of the movie on critics as if the aggregate score that's been formed has some sort of holistic truth? critics give OPINIONS. - @Wednesday, November 13, 2013 2:43 AM

Yes, that's the joke. Still, I don't think he ever spelled it THAT way. Still saying that was more fun that pointing out RazedTearz's imperviousness to irony. - @Thursday, November 7, 2013 4:12 AM

princess_ozma
Rather ironic of you to say so, seeing as Shakespeare infamously didn't spell his own name in any consistant fashion. - @Thursday, November 7, 2013 4:08 AM

I knew I would enjoy this movie, bc it's Joss Whedon and every Joss Whedon character I've ever loved, but I didn't expect to watch it three times in one day. I had plans today. Plans I had to cancel, and my only excuse was Much Ado. - @Tuesday, October 22, 2013 5:06 AM
