Still mostly a niche market for roles but Peter is the only one I can think of who got non-niche roles. One of the few that got roles more than comic relief. I watched several episodes of Fantasy Island when I was a Little kid. I always thought the midget playing Tatoo seemed to be a nice guy. Since Peter Dinklage isn't even partly Filipino, his casting feels like a joke. Sure, Oscar Isaac, a Guatemalan-Cuban, played an Armenian and an Israeli in recent films, but Dinklage's subtle brownface is cartoonish at best.
