Narcopolis is a futuristic thriller set in the near future where all classes of drugs have been legalized. Frank Grieves is a 'Dreck', a roaming narc responsible for keeping the black market dealers off the streets and the licenced drugs companies rich. When he discovers a rogue substance in an unidentified corpse, evidence suggests that Ambro, the most powerful drug manufacturer of all, are conducting secret tests on an experimental narcotic. Grieves discovers a second victim - this time alive - but she disappears and he is suddenly taken off the case by his superiors. As his options drain away, it's clear that legalization has come at a heavy price. Is it too late to save the city?

Portugal decriminalized all drugs and they are living better than any of us. No more drug lords cause they dont have anything to sell since its decriminalized. Make everything legal and we would have better lifes for sure. Because u cant forbid someone to use something unless that someone is in a prison. If its illegal like it is now everyone can use/sell/buy and drug lords can make money of of it but if its legal then no more crimes and who ever wants a fix they can get it legally and that money goes to the state budget and end of story. Though i wish Marijuana was legal in my state cause that is not a drug at all but ok.. U get the point. :) - @Thursday, October 1, 2015 11:01 PM

Ironically legal cheap drugs would remove almost all crime overnight as the junkies would stay home having a fix, rather than robbing, whoring or mugging for cash. While all the drug lords and most gangs would have to find a new job and the rest of us could get on with our lives a lot safer.  Makes you wonder if the war on drugs is more about making drugs More valuable for those who sell them....... - @Thursday, October 1, 2015 8:17 AM

The only realistic aspects of the story are the disastrous consequences of patent monopolies. In order for people to be free the market must be free. And for the market to be free everyone must have an equal right to produce whatever they want, limited only by consumer safety and environmental protection regulations. The exclusive production rights granted by patents turn free markets into captive markets in which direct competition is a federal offense and consumer choice is inconsequential. People who would otherwise employ themselves are forced to get jobs with established monopolies- monopolies who are more than happy to help the government embezzle taxes from their employees while they are powerless to resist. - @Thursday, October 1, 2015 2:28 AM

lol the worst drugs are already legal, and they are prescribed by doctors everywhere. Are you depressed? then dont smoke a joint, take 3 of these funny pills that may help with mild depression, it may also cause explosive diarrhea, bleeding from orifices, and/or loss of life, but it is safe and legal, but no matter what don't touch weed, because it is illegal. - @Tuesday, September 29, 2015 6:17 PM

Narcopolis continues the proud tradition of abusing sci-fi as political propaganda. Legalizing drugs like pot that are scientifically proven to be less harmful than alcohol and nicotine for body and society will lead to ALL drugs being legal (including the genuine nasty stuff like Meth and Krokodil, I guess), what will lead to a paint-by-numbers cyberpunk corporate dystopia our white male daddy protagonist has to fight. Yep, you really follow in the revolutionary footsteps of films like Blade Runner and District 9. Good job. - @Thursday, November 6, 2014 12:17 PM
