Now, nearly 100 years later, two aspiring filmmakers set out to discover what really happened. What starts as a simple investigation turns into a battle for survival, as they discover Mary may be dead, but she's certainly not gone.

We actually rented this on redbox the other night. And to be honest, it was pretty well made for an independent horror movie (which i usually just watch light-heartedly for laughs) If the production company had more $ to work with, it could have been a box office hit. An Intriguing story line, although i felt the ending wrapped things up a little too fast. Lot of scenes really had me jumpin out of my seat and my heart beating. It's excruciatingly difficult to find a good horror film among all the "fake documentary/fake realism" trash, the "isn't it cool to try recreating the badness of '80s horror" trash, the "it's scary because we startle you, but nothing actually clever" trash, the "stuff chasing you and you have to get away" trash and the "let's make you stare at even more tits and asses of naked women being tormented/tortured/kidnapped/tied up/butchered" trash. I bought this at Target thinking it would be a hidden gem among the horror movies available at the store, but I was wrong. The acting seemed poor. It felt as if the actors had simply memorized a script without actually becoming the characters. The editing was strange, as if a very small crew with a few point-and-shoot cameras and a green-screen intended this to be a short edit for a YouTube channel.
