Just watched this again after seeing the film, What a gig! - Freddie the ultimate frontman - what a great voice and performer! even better than i had remembered it. I can remember watching live aid on the tv at the time, the whole country was transfixed with this event. This iconic performance and songs certainly stands the test of time. I am glad i was a teenager in the 80s, when music and bands were more diverse, experimental and individualistic and glad that a whole new audience of youngsters will be discovering Queen's music. I remember watching this live on our black and white TV in Czechoslovakia. We had a D.I.Y. TV antenna on the roof, the cable had no protection against disruptions and the analog TV signal kept changing its quality so I had to keep propping the cable up with a broomstick against the wall in various positions.
