Look, I'll admit you all still have Mick Dundee. But now that you've lost Steve Irwin, the badassery in that country/continent is seriously in decline. I mean, you are amazing and all, but even Dundee lives in New York now. Besides, can you name an aussie with a mustache that can compete with Tom Selleck? - @Monday, January 21, 2013 4:46 PM

@enfiled1 Woah calm down! You need to take into account several key facts here. One this took place during the late 1860s. Two He wasnt trying to save the day. Three he thought someone hired him to kill dingoes not Aberiginies - @Monday, March 19, 2012 2:43 AM

@punji73 Have you ever shot a 45-120 sharps,if you ever get a chance to do so, do shoot it and you will remember the push and the awsome bang sound. The shells for a 45-120 are dear in price. - @Monday, June 13, 2011 1:06 PM

If you guys are really interested, Shiloh Sharps makes replicas (remakes, working firearms, not fake) now including a modified buffalo variant dubbed "The Quigley". It has all the features one sees in the movie which, if I remember removes some sharpshooter version elements (cheek rest etc...) on the stock and uses an octaganol barrel like in the movie. - @Friday, May 6, 2011 8:03 PM

@1941pearl The cartridge used by the Quigley rifle was a .45-110. The cartrige case would be about 3 inches long as the 45-120 used a 3.25 inch case. The .45-90 uses a 2.5 inch case, and the 45-70 uses a 2.1 inch case, for reference. The 45-90 and the 50-90 were the two most popular Sharps calibers for buffalo hunting in the 1870's. The 45-90 would often kill 2 buffalo with one shot at 500+ yards, witnesseed many times in the 1870's! - @Monday, April 19, 2010 6:21 PM

I watched this in full HD this morning. The trailer makes it look like a comedy but it is not a comedy at all. Pretty decent flick though. - @Monday, September 7, 2009 5:28 AM
