After a successful deployment of the Robocop Law Enforcement unit, OCP sees its goal of urban pacification come closer and closer, but as this develops, a new narcotic known as "Nuke" invades the streets led by God-delirious leader Cane. As this menace grows, it may prove to be too much for Murphy to handle. OCP tries to replicate the success of the first unit, but ends up with failed prototypes with suicidal issues... until Dr. Faxx, a scientist straying away from OCP's path, uses Cane as the new subject for the Robocop 2 project, a living God.

A greve da polícia desencadeia uma onda vandalismo na qual a cidade está entregue aos delinquentes. A tentativa de aposentar o antigo policial cibernético e inserir uma nova força de combate robótica, cai por terra levando o velho Alex Murph a tentar parar a máquina destrutiva do projeto fracassado da ocp. O diretor Irvin Kersner soube mostrar o que é dirigir um bom filme de ficção científca como ele o fez em o império contra-ataca. Frank Miller desafiou no roteiro e escreveu uma estória interessante sem ter a pressão de copiar algo do filme anterior. Robocop 2 was a good continuation, approaching from synthetic drugs to children in the control and distribution of drugs. The police strike triggers a wave vandalism in which the city is given to offenders. The attempt to retire the old cyber police and insert a new robotic fighting force, collapses bringing the old Alex Murph trying to stop the destructive machine failed project of ocp. The director Irvin Kersner able to show what is driving a good movie científca fiction as he did in the empire strikes back.
