In OIF II my unit patrolled this route and got fucked up in the process. My unit, a National Guard unit, was the only one that had the balls to go out and really patrol this route because it was so dangerous. After my unit cleaned up this area it got the name Route Irish. This follows the tradition of naming the Main Supply Routes (MSRs) and Alternative Supply Routes (ASRs) after sports teams. @Coolins335 A quick Google and it seems to be a storm in a teacup created by Loach. My understanding is that the film is about sexuality not the Palestinian occupation. I do boycott Israeli products when possible, but this is an interesting case, as the film apparently does not explore the Palestinian issue at all.
