Ron Hall lost track of what matters most in life. It took an affair, a confession, a dream and an unlikely friendship with a homeless man to help him remember. From the outside, Ron Hall's seemingly charmed life looked pretty perfect: He had a flourishing art business, a beautiful wife, two fine teen children and an amazing 15,000 square foot house in Fort Worth, Texas. But appearances can be deceptive.

sublime film !!!! - @Sunday, September 16, 2018 10:36 PM

It saw this movie, 4 days ago and it blessed me so much. We are all facing voids, some of us run after what we think will satisfy our holes and fill us but turns out to be so wrong and hurts relationships and our own mental and emotional growth. Some hate the pain and are afraid to face their pain or past and turn to quick fixes( drugs, alcohol, sex etc) to only dig deeper holes and fall in. We all need love and until we all love, do our part.. we are all homeless. Finding a place to truly call home. Love people offers no reason to fear helping another or fear of back lash, robbery or deceit or murder. Love protects and relates. It is compassion and love for the neighbor - @Thursday, September 6, 2018 3:28 AM

The sooner ALL people stop putting color labels on people, the sooner we can ALL start doing better for each other and ourselves. It's a a movie about PEOPLE helping PEOPLE, making this a better place to live, and compassion for another life regardless of any other characteristics. It's so simple to love one another. Why must we complicate it? - @Friday, October 20, 2017 1:41 PM

WOW! What is wrong with you people?? Don't answer that, I already know. Racist much?? Whether you think it in your heart, or say it aloud makes no difference. But, wow! Some of you don't even TRY to hide it! I guess most of you would rather see the other garbage that disguises itself as a movie these days. Not a REAL movie dealing with real people and real things that happened. SHAME! We need more movies like this one! - @Thursday, October 12, 2017 6:39 PM

I'm a Marine for over 30 years, I served in Fort Worth and volunteered at the mission long before I knew about this true story. Read the book, watched the movie, and heard from the real people in the story. If you believe at all in a higher calling, you will love the story. If you just want to live life and cut grass, then you probably won't get much from this. - @Tuesday, September 26, 2017 10:19 PM

Interesting that people see this as a white family saving a black man. I have read the book and followed the story. I very much see it as a black man saving a white family. - @Tuesday, September 19, 2017 1:26 PM

This book just touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes. We should all learn the lesson reflected in the pages. I recommend it every chance I get... The story is true and if we are honest, we have all lived part of this story. I am so looking forward to the movie. - @Wednesday, July 26, 2017 5:03 PM

A great story and great movie,if it lives half-way up to the power of the book. Always encouraging to note who doesn't like it. None of them ever lives on the streets. - @Thursday, July 6, 2017 6:53 PM

A case where people rather ridicule a ACTUAL story and support 90% of the fictional recyclable garbage they pump at us year in, year out in that joke of an industry we call movie making. Don't get me wrong I like said garbage myself BUT I also like stuff like this as well. Humanity is losing it's heart and drawing farther from goodness and God... This movie looks great. Stop criticizing REALNESS! - @Monday, July 3, 2017 5:49 AM

Seriously ... just because it is based on a book, and the book says it is based on a real story, doesn't actually mean it's real. If you're that gullible, then you're gullible enough to be a christian. Meanwhile, this is the worst part of the trailer or maybe the entire movie. 2:00 Yes, a couple is really going to talk about another guy during times of sweet talks, intimacies, and even during sex. - @Saturday, April 29, 2017 3:49 PM

Someone sent this to me and I thought it was an SNL sketch. Then I just realised Paramount Pictures posted this and it's real. I don't understand anything anymore. - @Friday, April 7, 2017 11:18 AM

The stories that get told and don't get told say something about racism. The story of a white Christian family saving a Black man is the one that gets to the big screen. Not the truth that most people who work in social services are brilliant, dedicated women of color who barely make ends meet from small wages-fighting to keep people fed and shelter when budgets are cut or redirected. Nope- that story is just real life not "post racial" propaganda. This movie exists to make white people feel like they aren't racist. Good for the real people who do this work for and of every ethnicity but lets not kid ourselves about what this movie is. - @Wednesday, April 5, 2017 9:49 PM
