I watched this on late-night TV as a kid back in the late 70's/early 80's. Freaked me out, that's why I love it! Thank you for posting, horrornymphs! - @Monday, August 27, 2018 11:35 PM

Someone asked on Facebook what movie you seen as a child they gave you the creeps in this movie came to mine that's how I end up on you - @Monday, June 11, 2018 1:13 AM

A clip from Shock Waves was played in a bigger budget movie, does anyone remember it? From memory, it was from the 80s and it might have been a horror film. I think the clip was playing on a TV on a kitchen bench in front of two teenage boys. Trying to remember which movie and not being able to has been irritating the hell out of me for at least ten years. - @Wednesday, May 9, 2018 10:58 AM

When I was in my early teens I would sneak out of the house. If I took a short cut through the woods, about a 1/2 mile away, I could get to the drive in movies. And this was the movie they played. Walking home that night seemed to take a long time. - @Monday, November 20, 2017 2:31 AM

Thats why Horror of Dracula was a success, Cushing hero, Lee villain. The only movie where Cushing is an o.k villain is "A New Hope". - @Tuesday, June 21, 2016 5:31 PM

damn it directors, Peter Cushing is supposed to b a hero in all his movies. Some movies you make him to be a narrow minded person with an evil secret. I dont like it. Was expecting to see him as a hero and Lee always as the villain... its just better that way. Learn from Terence Fisher damn it. - @Tuesday, June 21, 2016 5:29 PM

Every week when the TV Section came in the paper, I would check late night for this movie back in the late 70's.. too bad they didn't have VHS then. Later on in the 80's I finally made a recording of it... I am going to work on getting another copy right NOW! - @Sunday, October 6, 2013 11:16 PM

OMG, I have completely forgot about that movie!! I remember, back in the mid-late 80s, I rented some videos at the Circle K(ya, can you believe they rented??) and a friend stayed over, and I don't which movie it was on, but there was a preview for "shock waves", and me and my friend looked at each other and were like, WTF was that, it was creepy and weird as hell. GREAT, underrated horror flick! I finally added this beauty to my collection. Don't know why it took me so long. This is what a REAL horror film is about. Not stupid "paranormal activity" and remade horseshit using big budgets, and CGI to appease today's simple minded audiences. This film builds suspense, tells a great story, and uses a great atmosphere for effectiveness. TRUE fans of the genre will appreciate this masterpiece. - @Monday, October 22, 2012 1:08 PM

Ian Finlay
I think they're "zombies" more in the old supernatural voodoo sense rather than the modern popular rotting and eating people sense. Theres even a thing at the begining of the film that explains the S.S.'s clandestine occult activities coupled with their well-known experiments in genetic engineering, . .. both of which have truth to them ( read a book titled The Occult Roots of Nazism to learn more ). - @Saturday, September 22, 2012 1:19 PM
