Samantha's life is going downhill fast. The sixteen-year-old has a crush on the most popular boy in school, and the geekiest boy in school has a crush on her. Her sister's getting married, and with all the excitement the rest of her family forgets her birthday! Add all this to a pair of horrendously embarrassing grandparents, a foreign exchange student named Long Duk Dong, and we have the makings of a hilarious journey into young womanhood.

I'm Class of 85 and the "teen films" of today suck!!! However, I definately am enjoying the CGI and Blockbuster Marvel films, and other sci fi films. No way that could be pulled of back in my day; total cheese special effects back then. Our teen movies were great; but we did have ALOT of cheese back then. I still miss the 80's though in all it's cheese glory; best time of my life!!! If John Hughes was still here; maybe. There was even a documentary where young people were on a quest to find him to pursuade him to create something for the teens of today. I wish he would have. Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty In Pink, Ferris Bueler, etc etc were ALL Hughes' films. I really hope this generation has a John Hughes out there.
