In a future, water has disappeared from the Earth, anda group of teenagers, who are livie at an orphanage, run by the despotic rulers of the new Earth, and find an orb of special powerr. They escape from the orphanage and try to cross the wasteland looking for a place they can live free as the stormtroopers search for them and the orb.

I was helping my mom and my sister clean out the basement (mom and dad getting a new furnace). Apparently, back in the late 80's I loved this movie enough to record it on VHS to watch repeatedly....because I found the tape amongst other movies I had recorded circa 1988-1990 when I was 14-15 years old. This movie was so forgettable, I had to look it up here on youtube to see what movie it was, haha. Great movie, a large corporation held control of the world's water sources to the point it didn't even rain. People would work day in day out to afford the needs of water to live. At night however some teams would play a sport like hocky in curved swimming pool like surfaces with a goal in them to score.
