Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) returns to the only place he can ever call home. They are waiting for him: Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), and Begbie (Robert Carlyle). Other old friends are waiting too: sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger, they are all lined up to welcome him, ready to join the dance.

Just saw this the other night and I loved it. Had some doubts going in but they focused on everything that made the original great in the first place. The depravity, the duplicity of the characters, the dark humor. It ties up every loose end and pretty much everything from the first film is mentioned in passing. Lol. I was 15 when I saw the first Trainspotting and I found it quite cool, but while seeing 10 mn of it 10 years later I couldn't imagine anything more stupid. They made a second one 20 later with actors 20 years older, but not for a public that's 20 more mature..... Lmao)) It's still a movie for the teenage. And honestly I find it criminal to the core to show drugs on teenage cultural media (thus obviously inciting them to do drugs).
