While on a plane ride back to Toronto from a writing assignment, Margot meets Daniel, a handsome stranger. An immediate attraction is formed and Margot is able to open up and discuss some of her fears and longings. A taxi ride back home causes Daniel and Margot to realize that they are neighbours and Margot admits she's married. The summer-time heat and her increasing fascination with the handsome artist who lives across the street starts getting to her, and Margot is no longer sure if she's happy in her marriage or if she'd be happier with her fantasies with Daniel.

You simply accept it and appreciate and be thankful for what YOU DO HAVE. She had a wonderful marriage, and she threw it away for excitement with something new. the movie is not a comedy. it is depressing/drama. there should be a new genre "depressing" for movies like these or just put it as "drama". when you do nothing in life, not even the basic daily tasks, then this would definitely happen. She was lucky that she was beautiful otherwise it is being homeless. the storyteller does a good job in dropping hints that we shouldn't be like the lead character, like the "freeloader" t-shirt and an elderly woman saying "new things get old" and all the obvious drama. we don't see any real effort from the main character to make the couple's life better all she wanted and do was to get other's attention. in the ned being independent may have tought her what sacrifices others did for her and now since she had to do all the things herself she begins to realize that there is some happiness in doing things and not just relying on others. - @Tuesday, July 17, 2018 11:43 AM

The cheating part is awful but the film is not about cheating it's about escaping and finding happiness only the woman never really finds it because she's kind of empty.
