Watch this trailer and then watch the trailer for the original 1990 TMNT film. It's so obvious they tried to change the tone away from the Eastman & Laird gritty style into 100% more of the 1987 animated series tone. Everything feels goofier and super light hearted compared to the editing and cut of how they did the 1990 one. Way to go early '90s parents... Even the goofy sound effects during the "TEENAGE...MUTANT...NINJA....TURTLES" typography. Compare that to the gong symbol from the original trailer. I love this movie for the memories I have with it for a kid and honestly, it's still my second favorite TMNT film...but nothing can touch the tone, heart and atmosphere of Steve Barron's classic. - @Monday, December 21, 2015 2:00 AM
