These kids are still wet behind the ears. I don't expect to get to market with a single cow, but I'm out of options here. - @Friday, August 21, 2015 1:25 PM

Bruce Dern stated in an interview when describing John Wayne physically " he was  a big big man 6'5" 250 pounds. His upper arm was the size of most men's thighs". - @Monday, February 24, 2014 8:08 PM

hi. in the most cowboys vids there is always een small road, on both sides stores and bars. You know the road where two cowboys stand in front of against each other and the one kills the other. My quastion: has this road with stores an special name? sorry for my language. - @Tuesday, October 29, 2013 1:08 AM

Yeah, they had it and it was probably the most edited John Wayne movie ever next to Big Jake. Then CBS took it and brought back some of the scenes. The SOB scene is one of my favorite scenes "I wouldn't make that a habit of calling me that son.". Teach a kid how now to studder. - @Thursday, August 8, 2013 9:40 PM

Now Bruce Dern made one of the best if not THE BEST bad bad bad bad guy (not a typo) and he's not in any bad guy lists next to the joker or hannibal lector or jack nickleson's shining character. What the heck is that?? Goes and shoots someone in the back not once, twice but a couple of times. Very low down scum of the earth and Bruce Dern played it so good he was very much hated in real life. David Carridine turned down the role because of his prediction of that. - @Thursday, August 8, 2013 9:35 PM

This movie was released in January 1972 & it didn't do well in the theaters; ABC (I think) bought it for the network to be shown in the 72-73 TV season. I remember watching the previews & when "The Cowboys" premiered on TV we all watched it, loved it, & couldn't understand why we had never even heard of the movie--just a lack of publicity, I guess. We especially liked Roscoe Lee Browne & being shocked when Bruce Dern killed John Wayne. A very underrated movie! - @Wednesday, October 17, 2012 4:00 AM

My History teacher told our class about this movie. And it's a true movie that this happened to REAL cowboys starting at a VERY young age. I was shocked myself to find out, she also mentioned that John Wayne ONLY died in this movie other than his movies he made. It was a hit in Hollywood. - @Thursday, January 5, 2012 12:38 AM
